The Cranial Structural Frontal Occipital Decompression (developed by Don McCann) has been proven to produce observable and measurable positive results in behavior, noticeable improvements in motor skills, coordination, and strength, the ability to concentrate, and the ability to learn and apply new physical tasks. This means children with these compromising conditions can be given a chance to experience a more normal and productive life.

According to current research, Austistic children have larger craniums for their age, and most other learning disabled children have a slightly distended frontal bone. There appears to be some degree of swelling, with fluid between the frontal bone and frontal lobes. The application of the Cranial Structural Frontal Occipital Decompression reduces the fluid causing this swelling, resulting in a substantial decrease in self-stimming and a significant increase in the ability to concentrate, fewer and less volatile emotional swings, and rapid growth in vocabulary. When combined with the Cranial Structural Core Distortion Release, which unwinds the body out of it's basic distortion into balance, the body is able to function at a much higher and more efficient level.

Obviously, there are different degrees of dysfunction and behavioral problems among the Autistic and special needs children.
